The distribution can be unpacked using WinZip - but ensure that TAR file smart CR/LF conversion is disabled (under the Miscellaneous Configuration Options). After unpacking, you should patch the distribution with the current contents of ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm5_updates.
